Less common causes are clogged expansion valve or orifice Air input, in/recirc switch, blower, output. (cooling is in there somewhere too). The air input/recirc switch will be a combination of outside air and inside air inputs to the switch. Given that the smell goes on recirculation - I can only surmise that its coming from the outside air input. The Fiat Grande Punto is actually on an 18,000 mile service interval. My son has a Grande Punto and the air bag in the roof and drivers side seat went off because of him clipping a kerb.There was only damage to the drivers front wheel and no other damage, so he went off to our local Fiat dealer and they quoted £1000 for replacement.This can't be right that the air bags went off just by FIAT PUNTO GRANDE PUNTO Do I have a fuel filter The garage that serviced my Grande punto 1.2 active said I should replace the fuel filter because Im having the spark plugs done. I searched around online to check prices but cant even find a fuel filter for non-diesel engines. Right - for future reference Couldn't find any local breakers with a Grande Punto (weird) So took the blower fan out again and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the motor brushes were right down to the brass. Turns out it doesn't *NEED* the little carbon brushes all that much! lmIZq6C.
